Noosa International Sevens Festival
October 3-5
As part of the Australian Sevens rugby circuit, this is said to be one of the best premier Sevens rugby tournaments in the Southern Hemisphere and is quickly becoming one of the most prestigious Oceania Sevens tournaments.
Alongside the men's teams, there will be a seven-team women's tournament with national squads as well as those from further afield. The top men's team will have a place at the IRB World Series Next year in Hong Kong and Wellington.
The gorgeous Noosa Dolphins rugby ground at Sunshine Beach will host this sporting event which involves teams from around Australia, the Pacific, Europe, Asia, the Middle East. In fact, this will be the first year that New Zealand's world champion All Black Sevens squad will take part in the tournament.
This gloriously sunny location makes for the perfect place to sit back, relax and watch some skilled sportsmen take to the field.
Subaru Noosa Triathlon Multisport Festival
October 29-November 2
People from around Australia and beyond head to Noosa to take part in this triathlon event. In fact, there is no bigger Multi Sport Festival such as this anywhere else in the Southern Hemisphere.
In 1983, the first Noosa triathlon took place with 180 competitors. In the 31 years following, this event has become undoubtedly first class, celebrating participation, dedication, healthy lifestyles and fun.
The five day event is complete with entertainment and sporting activities where you can have fun with your friends and family, with the grand finale of the festival the triathlon.
