The Noosa region on the Sunshine Coast is a great place to get in touch with natural wonder. Here you'll find beaches, hinterland, rivers and more. Check out these places for outdoors adventurers when you're there on holiday:
Noosa National Park
This expansive and scenic area is made up of different sections. There is the headland section, as well as Peregian, Emu Mountain and East Weyba. No matter where you wander, there is a lot to do.
Go for a walk through the combination of rainforests and open woodlands. The winding paths will take you through wallum health and sedgelands. In winter and spring, you'll see bunches of wildflowers.
Choose the right route by taking note of the track standards. The grades are listed on the description so you can see what will suit you or your group. The higher the number, the more challenging the walk. Class 2 is easy and will suit people at all levels of fitness whereas class 4 could be a route that has narrow, steep tracks with exposed inclines or lots of steps.
Walks in the Noosa Headland section include the Palm Grove circuit, the Tanglewood track, Noosa Hill track and the Coastal track. The Coastal track takes you along the coastline from the park entrance to the northern part of Sunshine Beach. You'll get glorious views of the shoreline that is distinctive to this part of the world.
Noosa Main Beach
The gentle waves here are great for surfing, boogie-boarding, or just good old-fashioned swimming. You and your friends or family are sure to love the white sand beaches and the turquoise sea. The sand makes for a great place to lounge with a good book if you just feel like relaxing.
If you do decide to swim, you'll know you're in good hands with the beach being constantly looked after by surf lifesavers.
It's easy to get around Noosa in a Sunshine Coast car hire. Get some wheels, pack your car up and you'll be on your way.
